Ben West is committed to fostering and supporting musical theatre artists though lectures and workshops built around the principal of “History in Practice.” Offering a practical and functional approach to the evolution of the art form, including its outside influences such as minstrelsy, vaudeville, Tin Pan Alley, nightclubs, and burlesque, his programs are singularly comprehensive and uniquely designed to expand the vocabulary and skill set of contemporary authors, directors, and performers, forming an intersection between past, present, and future.
